On 13 June 2026, a Skill Development Training Programme for Youth was conducted in the Veerapandi area of Salem through the joint efforts of the Cauvery Development Office, Tiruchirappalli and Don Bosco Anbu Illam, Salem. The programme was graced by Mr. Arima Singaram, Lions Club Tech City, Fr. Amala Jeyarayan, Director of Don Bosco Anbu Illam, Salem, and Fr. David, Administrator of Don Bosco Anbu Illam who participated and enriched the training session. The training sessions were led by Mr. Murugan and Mrs. Abirami, who served as the resource persons for the programme.
The training focused on the topics “The Role of Young Citizens in Advancing Women’s Progress in Politics” and “Young Leaders Promoting Equal Political Participation.” More than 45 young participants attended and benefited from the training programme. The programme provided valuable insights into civic responsibility, leadership, and the importance of promoting gender equality in political participation.
