The Salem Don Bosco Anbu Illam Social Service Society is a leading child rights organization in the district of Salem in South India which serves all those children who are in need of care and protection. The organization has an effective rehabilitation package of these children which include provision of shelter, clothing, food, medical aids, education, vocation training, job placement and home placement. Due to this, the street children are prevented from becoming anti social element. The rehabilitation package includes Rescue, Restoration Rehabilitation and Reformation.
We aim to:
1. Identify and assist runaway, homeless, abused, and exploited children and youth, regardless of their caste or religion, ensuring that every child receives the support they need to overcome adversity.
2. Provide care and protection for vulnerable young people, creating a safe and nurturing environment where they can grow and thrive.
3. Foster the development of honest citizens through life skills and livelihood programs, counselling, sports, and quality education, equipping them with the skills and values necessary to lead fulfilling lives.
4. Provide community-based, alternative care and development initiatives for vulnerable children and youth, ensuring that they receive tailored support within their local communities.
5. Make all possible efforts to reintegrate children with their families.
6. Empower marginalized communities through Community Based Organizations (CBOs), encouraging local ownership of development initiatives and fostering self-reliance.
7. Work closely with government bodies and other stakeholders to advance the welfare of young people at risk and their communities
