Women’s Entrepreneurship Training Program

On the occasion of International Womens Day, Salem Don Bosco Anbu Illam organized a women’s entrepreneurship training program for rural women in Rakkipatti village, Veerapandi block, Salem on March 7th, 2024. The training session was taken by Mrs. Anandi, who is an instructor at Indian Bank Self Employed Training Institute in Salem. During the session, Mrs. Anandi motivated women to pursue self-employment and start their own businesses with courage and self-confidence. She discussed various training programs offered by Indian Bank Career Training in areas such as sewing, cosmetology, and agriculture. Mrs. Anandi also highlighted loan options, such as Mudra loans and the Pradhan Mantri Employment Generation Scheme, available for self-employed individuals.
The participants found the training session valuable and sought further information on starting their businesses and accessing loans. A total of 38 rural women participated and benefited from this training program.
