On September 16, 2024, our team at Don Bosco Anbu Illam, Salem gathered for an inspiring staff development workshop led by the incredible Rev. Dr. Rayan! This dynamic session brought together 35 dedicated staff members, all eager to deepen their understanding of Family Strengthening (FS) and Family-Based Alternative Care (FBAC).
Rev. Dr. Casimir Raj M. kicked off the workshop by celebrating our team’s vital role in empowering “Young at Risk.” The workshop emphasized viewing children not as challenges, but as valuable resources filled with creativity and potential!
Dr. Rayan sparked important conversations about the significance of nurturing family environments for children’s growth and how institutional care should remain a temporary solution. By focusing on fulfilling emotional needs—like love and belonging—our goal is to help children reconnect with their families and communities.
