Don Bosco Anbu Illam held a training program in Vennandur on 22.8. 2023, for community support group members. The program focused on educating members about their social responsibilities, including their roles in village development activities, social security schemes (such as ESI), and various welfare schemes. Dr. Chella Selvakumar, a former member of TN SCPCR, led the sessions, which motivated participants to use government systems and committees like VLCPC, BLCPC, and SMC to contribute to village development. The program also highlighted the benefits of participating in Grama Sabha and unorganized welfare boards. Mr. Xavier, former CWC chairperson and advisor to Don Bosco Anbu Illam Salem, shared inspiring real-life incidents and delivered the vote of thanks. A total of 39 community support group members attended the program and benefited from the training.
