One-day Training Program for Adolescent Girls
On August 26, 2024, we proudly hosted a transformative one-day training program for adolescent girls at Don Bosco Anbu Illam in Vennandhur, in honour of World Women’s Equality Day and aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 5: Gender Equality.
Under the inspiring leadership of Rev. Dr. Casimir Raj, our Director, and the expert guidance of Ms. Pushpavalli, a Master Trainer in Adolescent Life Skills Education, our event titled “Reflect and Reset: How Self-Awareness Fuels Success” provided 52 rural adolescent girls with essential life skills to navigate life’s challenges effectively.
The interactive sessions emphasized the importance of self-awareness, covering topics such as understanding emotions, identifying strengths and weaknesses, building resilience, and developing coping strategies. By focusing on the 10 core life skills outlined by the World Health Organization (WHO), we empowered our participants to embark on their journeys of self-discovery and growth.
