On February 6, 2025, a leadership training program for workers in the power loom, garment manufacturing, and textile industries was conducted by Don Bosco Anbu Illam in Vennandur. The event was presided over by Rev. Dr. Casimir Raj, the Director of Salem Don Bosco Anbu Illam.

Mr. A.P. Antony Jannat, the District Secretary of the All India Unorganized Workers’ Welfare Board, participated as the trainer. He spoke about the purpose of the Workers’ Welfare Committee, the rights and benefits of workers, the significance of the Workers’ Welfare Board, and various government welfare schemes available to them.

More than 40 participants from Vennandur and the surrounding villages attended and benefited from the training.
