On 11th October 2025 the District Child Protection Unit, Salem observed International Day of the Girl Child by organizing a Signature Campaign at the New Bus Stand, Salem

The event witnessed the active participation of the CWC Chairperson and Members, representatives from Childline 1098, Police Department, and Don Bosco Anbu Illam.

Children from Don Bosco Anbu Illam’s Continue Education Program joined the campaign and took a pledge to protect and empower girl children — reaffirming their commitment to creating a world where every girl is safe, valued, and given equal opportunities.
