Salem Don Bosco Anbu Illam conducted a Drug Prevention Awareness in the concept of “Healthy Mind Healthy Life” to the children’s and youth adolescent from the Slum areas by child friendly salem project with the colloaboration of DB INT YaR Forum. Salem Don Bosco Anbu Illam Boys, Don Bosco Anbu Illam Boys – Namakkal, Don Bosco Care Home Children totally 132 children were participated in this meeting. The special guest in this program was Salem Deputy Superintendent of Police, Criminal Investigation Department, Mr. K. Saravanakumaran graced the occasion. Also, from Salem who is won the 6th prize on behalf of India in the Asian Games 2023 in the Pole Vault jump competition, Miss. Pavitra Venkatesh presented a gift of appreciation and encouragement to all the children and youths at the event. She is standing as the role model to all the children and youth adolescent teenagers in this programme. Salem District Tobacco Control Division Officer Dr. Ashwant Vetrivel gave awareness on drugs and was joined by social worker Harinath. In this event, Don Bosco Jananam Illam Assistant Director Fr. Aswin created awareness about drug prevention through short films for children.
