On August 15, 2024, staff from Salem Don Bosco Anbu Illam, along with community volunteers and members of the community support group, participated in Grama Sabha meetings across 37 villages in the Salem (6 blocks) and Namakkal (2 blocks) districts. They advocated for ensuring child safety, promoting children’s education, reducing child marriage, and creating child-friendly villages. During these meetings, our staff used the platform to discuss the effectiveness of the Village Level Child Protection Committee (VLCPC) and the School Management Committee (SMC). Additionally, we submitted petitions addressing common village needs through our community support group members and volunteers.
