Commemorating Kamarajar’s Birthday with a Mission for Education
On July 15th, in honor of Kamarajar’s birthday—a day celebrated as the Day of Educational Upliftment—the Don Bosco Anbu Illam team carried out a special outreach initiative focused on addressing school dropouts.
Our team conducted a dedicated dropout visit in key areas of the Ammapet Zone, including Ward 35 (Nanjampatty), Ward 41 (Pachapatty), Ward 42 (Kurinji Nagar Housing Board), and Gandhi Mahan Street. We engaged with over 20 children who had discontinued their schooling, gaining valuable insights into the various reasons behind their dropout.
Along with interacting with the children, we also engaged with their parents, urging them to recognize the importance of education and encouraging them to send their children back to school. Through these conversations, we emphasized the long-term benefits of education and the role of parental support in a child’s learning journey.
Follow-up plans have been initiated to support and reintegrate these children into the education system.
This effort stands as a tribute to Kamarajar’s vision and unwavering commitment to education for all.
