VLCPC Meeting: Prioritizing Child Safety in Villages
On September 24, 2024, Salem Don Bosco Anbu Illam (DBAI) took part in the Village Level Child Protection Committee (VLCPC) meetings held in the villages of Alavaipatti and O Sowthapuram, located in the Vennandur block. As a committed NGO in this region, DBAI presented several important recommendations aimed at enhancing child safety and combating adolescent drug abuse.
The Village Level Child Protection Committees (VLCPCs) are essential in protecting children’s rights and welfare in rural communities. They tackle various issues, including abuse and neglect, raise awareness about child rights, and encourage community participation. Their mission is to foster a safe and supportive environment for at-risk children, ensuring they have access to the necessary resources and services.
