09-08-2023 On this special day, on behalf of Salem Heritage Committee have taken up a good initiative by taking the children of Don Bosco Anbu Illam for a heritage walk around the Salem city. It was a fortune time for the children to visit most important places of Salem city especially, Suganeshvarar Temple, Salem Kasthuri Bhai Gandhi Bridge, Salem Jamia Masjid, Salem Kottai Navab Masjid, Salem CSI Christ Church, and in the collectorate office; Battle Tank, War Monument and Salem Rajamuttu Sea Measurement monument. All these places were explained to the children with the help of resourceful persons from Salem Heritage Committee members. in this event Mr. J. Barnabas, the General Secretary of Salem heritage Committee, and the committee members as well. They are namely, Professor, V. Srithar, Mr. D. Mohan Raj have participated very actively and vibrantly. The participants are Dr. Casimir Raj, the director of Don Bosco Anbu Illam and executive coordinator Mr. A. Xavier, staff, students and have participated with full enthusiasm and benefited a lot about “Matha Nallinakkam” through the meticulous organization of Salem Heritage Committee.
